18 minutes ago - by Paul Dehner Jr. - Bengals likely must win next week to make playoffs
According to the current playoff scenarios, the Bengals would lose every tiebreaker assuming the Chargers lose on Saturday. That means, if Cincinnati beats Baltimore next week, they will make the playoffs. If they lose, they will be eliminated if any of the three 8-7 wild card contenders (Jets, Raiders/Broncos, Titans) win.

Maybe I'm mistaken...but I remember someone earlier this season whining about the Steelers not even making it to the postseason this year @)

Don't worry guys, Ravens will take care of business next week.

they took care of business for me today by winning 11 games giving me 2 nice winning futures of over 10.5 regular season wins.i did pretty good on my futures this year.......the one id like to hit is the STEELERS winning the super bowl as i recieved some good odds on that ticket

How sad is it that I am having a moral dilemma about this game, on one hand I would love to see the Bengals win and make the playoffs, on the other I would hate to see Pitt get a bye. That pretty much sums up how much I despise the steelers that I am debating missing the playoffs if it meant no bye for them

Miami class of 1990. But, I am a Steeler fan. 86-90 were the worst years to be a Steeler fan in SW Ohio, with the Bengals at the peak of their good years, and the Browns good, also. I am a Bengal fan this week, though.

Since Marvin Lewis' arrival in Cincinnati, the Bengals have played in some huge games, including playoff games.
This weekend's game against the Baltimore Ravens is huge and will go down as one of the most important games in the team's history
. If they beat the Ravens in Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday afternoon, they're in the playoffs, but if they lose, they're out.
