I had a half a box of Triscuits and a three handfuls of peanuts and 6 beers.

Christmas Eve dinner was great, though !

Wife fights with her daughter, so we split and there goes the Alaskan crab legs and shit I spent $100 on the day before. We were staying at her place being homeless since selling condo a month ago, but cash rich.

I don't mind a 3*** motel too much, but it is temporary.

We had Glazed ham, scallop and mashed potatoes .. squash , sweet carrots. Good dinner but im glad christmas is over. Taking a 250 Km sled trip tomorrow for some down time

Her place ( elder daughter, almost 30) is a real Shithole, belongs on Hoarders ( almost). She paid way too much for the house ( 205K) and it's old ( 1955) and horrible smelling ( 3 cats), going thru a divorce.....I'm thinking about 125-150k is all she'd get on a sale and is only about 3 years into the mortgage.

Her younger sister does much better and lacks a degree. I've stayed at both places since selling my place on 11/21. Neither works well long-term....but the dumpy little cat-house was getting cleaned up by me.

Italian-Americans are crazy.

14lb prime rib, smoked on the smoker for 4 hours at 250 degrees, then finished in the oven, delicious......had a ham, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, salad, sausage rolls, and some other stuff.....but all i ate was the prime rib..........we had a great christmas, best one in years. 2nd xmas for my daughter and i'd argue it was prob the best day of her young life

The main course was USDA prime - rib roast. Pull out of the oven at 108 degree internal temp for perfection. Highly recommended!

Great Xmas!! My oldest Daughter is a great cook, always brings one of my absolute favs, braised short ribs of beef! I just pigged OUT! Oh, also home made apple pie, awesome. My little GDaughter is a kick in the ass, 6 yrs old, and very aware of people, circumstances, & nuances. I gave her an "American Girl" doll which she absolutely went bonkers over. When she got to my X's house she said to her "look what your old husband got me"! Jesus, wish I'd been there, my daughter said she had a sick look on her face. Priceless.
