Off topic but I'll be in Las Vegas from Jan 15th to Jan 20th for a trade show. I'll be there with associates from work, some of my international customers and I'm also bringing a FWB with me for fun.

Any suggestions for a quietish restaurant for business meetings? Need on restaurant for my Italian customers and one more for my European customers another night.

I would also like to catch one or two shows. I've heard the O show is good (cirque de sol), is that true? Any other show recommendation for Vegas activities you can recommend. I want my friend to have some fun too.

IMHO, you really can't go wrong with Any of the cirque de sol shows.

I myself like O the best because it's a Classic.

If for any chance you think these people have been to Vegas and seen it, you can always take them to the New Michael Jackson cirque de sol Show.

One customer is from Italy, the other company I need to entertain is from Sweden. I would like to take the Swedes to an Italian restaurant and the Italian to any other type of restaurant that's not Italian food. Maybe seafood, steakhouse or Spanish cuisine? And, yes it has to be relatively quiet so we can talk.

What is a good show besides the Cirque de sol shows? Is there a a trick to getting good/discounted tickets? I don't want to gamble too much this trip.

What about those helicopter trips to the grand canyon? Any fun?

is still the place to be seen in las vegas, if you are into that kind of thing, and its right near the convention center.
every strip hotel has a steak house, each one supposed to be better than the rest.
for discount show tix -> tix4tonight

For food I would recommend -

Prime @ Bellagio (Steakhouse)

RM Seafood @ Mandalay Bay (Seafood)

Nobhill Tavern @ MGM (American Cuisine)

Rao's @ Caesars (Italian)

Mesa Grill @ Caesars (Kind of mix...check out the menu...fantastic food)

For the show -

If you want to do Cirque...my favorites were O and Ka.

If you want something a little risque...check out Peepshow @ PH.

Copperfield was good @ the MGM but I don't think he is performing there right now...would have to check.

Check tix4tonight for deals on tickets. There are booths all up and down the strip. As for the helicopter to the GC - I enjoyed it but my wife did not. It was kind of a strange experience...I probably won't do it again. It was neat to see and all, but I don't think it was worth the money we payed.

I think I'll catch two shows. Penn and Teller and one of the cirques, either Mystery or O.

the O show is the type of show one will really like or it will do nothing for them.
mystere is a little less polarizing. i would suggest trying the cirque "beatles"
show called LOVE. it mixes the cirque concept to re-mastered and redone beatles
music. let there be no doubt the music is the star. also you can never go wrong
with penn + tell or terry fator. for food i might suggest the capital grille in the
fashion show mall. very high quality and quite reasonable for the ambiance,
service, + menu.

One of my new favorites is Mastro's Ocean Club: http://www.mastrosrestaurants.com/Locations/NV/81-Las-Vegas-Main/Default.aspx. Great seafood and steaks. It is located in Crystals @ City Center.

For Italian, I think the best place in town is Il Mulino @ the Forum Shops: http://www.ilmulino.com/lasvegas.html. It is a little pricey, but a great atmosphere and the absolute best service.

I agree with the Cirque shows and would highly recommend Love @ the Mirage if you are a Beatles fan. Jersey Boys is also a fun show.

I take it that is Il Mulino that is in NY too? If so, that is the top rated Italian restaurant in NYC

Il Mulino looks nice...checked out the menu and didn't notice any prices. What a normal night out there be on average? Not including drinks of course.
