Murph - yeah, Willye did goto the dark side, but a big part of that was the # of pure assholes jumping into his thread and him not wanting to deal with them - which I can agree with (to a point). If I was that good I don't know if I would post up for the length of time he did.
Before I found the Rx, the only sport that I ever made any money in was baseball - and that was because I played only the ML dogs and a few pitchers in spots that mathmatically were good bets (example -pettite at home the first few years). I made 5x what I made on the regular season in mlb playoffs. Other than that, long term I lost - and many seasons it wasn't 50% wins + just loosing the vig, it was 40% winners. When I started fading the public on my own, I finally became a 50% player but still lost the vig. Now, I let others who really know more about the sports pick the wagers and I more worry about capping the cappers. Willye was a good player to follow, though he made way too many bets. Problem solved - I didn't play every pick he made - just a few of the higher plays. Made some good coin off him.
It seems that as society goes, so does the board. Society is falling apart and at a faster rate than before. Same is happening here. I've seen a ton of posters just leave. Then throw in Wil and OMT leaving (for other reasons but they're gone - bottom line) and this place starts to loose its luster. Now, the door's not closed and the lights are still certainly on, and will be for the foreseeable future, but I have really taken a likeing to this place and I hate to see it go down hill.
Finally, I'm surrounded by people just like me. Always thinking there's a way to beat the man and trying everything they can to beat the man. Don't want to lose that.
