It's a mute point, he lost his senate seat by 18pts, that has to be a record for a sitting senator, he's simply unelectable.

He wants the Christian equivalent of Sharia law. He should be unelectable.

you can't really argue with his sentiment as he qualified it with speaking for "traditional conservatives" aka RINOs like him

now this I agree with

Romney has the money, the organization, better name recognition and has been campaigning for at least 5 years now. He still can't get even 30%, and the pundits are calling him a lock

just doesn't add up

agreed. very strange that romney should be in some neck and neck battle with a guy like Santorum that is an absolute nobody. One would think he'd have minimum 50% by this point.

Santorum, a former senator and House member, finished eight votes behind Romney in Iowa's contest and arrived here to questions about his support for home-state spending projects known as earmarks and for a recent comment about black people that has been criticized as being racially insensitive. He also sought to explain previous statements that likened same-sex relationships to bestiality.

"My Catholic faith teaches blah, blah, blah.

Santorum also defended congressional spending designed to benefit pet projects.

"When you go to Congress you fight to make sure that when taxes go from your state to Washington, D.C., you fight to make sure you get your fair share back," Santorum said, adding that other lawmakers do it. "The idea that earmarks are the problem in Washington, D.C., is just ridiculous."

Does that sound familiar?

Rush Limbaugh sounds like he's backing Santorum and does have clout, I've always voted for the republican candidate even the bad ones but if Santorum gets the nod I'm staying home on election day! He got bounced so badly in 2006 by Casey he probably wouldn't even win his home state!

It seems me your boy falls into the same category.

Yes he does, but he isnt being hailed as the frontrunner by MM and funded by Goldman Sachs! Thats the difference......and my boy still pulled almost as much as him. Regardless, they will pull out all stops to make sure he doesnt win.

Still, tough to even respect the vote counting process when they sneak off to another state to count the votes in private.

I think it's pretty obvious what's going on. The moderate base of the R like him and think he'll be attractive to the many D disappointed with Obama. The conservative base of R don't even consider him to be one of them. The pundits assume he's the only choice R will end up settling for as the rest are either too far out of the mainstream in their views, or like Newt have too much baggage. I don't see a conspiracy here. I'm a social liberal and a hawk, but even I find something unappealing about Romney. I don't view the media as pushing him on us though.

If Santorum is the nominee I will vote for Barry and then try to sneak back in and vote again - it really is hard to relate to Republicans at time - how can anyone vote for this utter freak show?

Santorum is a worse version of Mike Huckabee. He will disappear after Super Tuesday.

Thats because the earmarks come after the budget has been passed, its not an earmark of "extra" money its already accounted for. Only a fucking retard thinks earmarks are a problem. Santorum is an economic liberal and social conservative on roids - that simply will not play to anyone but nut bag bible thumpers.

I wonder why you never have served?

"I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity."

I guess i am lucky, i want to avoid them but never have served. It is always easier to play with someones chips, no?
