During his opening remarks at Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, President Obama got laughs when he told students that they inspire him.

"I want you to know you're the reason that I ran for this office in the first place. You remind me what we are still fighting for," Obama said to tepid cheers.

"You inspire me," Obama said to an audience that laughed at him.
-----------------------------------

I might not say the audience "laughed at him", but it's obvious they were not inspired and they did fall for the poppycock "you inspire me" bullshit line

that's why Obama is going to lose, nobody respects or believes him anymore. they're more inclined to laugh at him

Apparently students are becoming better at detecting bullshit

Yeah, but if my memory serves me correctly, detecting bullshit doesn't keep the bull shitter from being reelected.

Nobody believes Obama because he is a fabricator of the truth just like the guy who held the same office before him. It would have been the same if Hilary got in. Do you think, Wullie somehow Mitt Romney or Newt wont change this problem, this epidemic of treason and sedition in the oval office? Please, let me pull up a chair for your rebuttal.

So, you are saying that a group of high school kids represents the voting public?

I disagree with the premise of your argument, making your conclusions inaccurate to me

I don't give a shit what your rebuttal is. Just in case you didn't know, this is more a subjective than objective argument

of course that's what I said

their reaction is no indication about the mood of the country, it's all about how an 18 will vote

yep. that's it, word for word

In answer to Fletch maybe the office has some puppet strings attached but this Obama thing has to do with rhetoric vs. performance. Obama made some pretty outrageous promises going in and his performance gives no hope that 4 more years of him are in the best interests of the country. I had a friend of mine tell me the other day that he has never voted Republican in his life (he is over 50) but he is not voting for Obama this time around. A song and a dance are not cutting it any more and it is clear that Obama is playing the same old games just as you mentioned. Bottom line is fiscal stability and if you focus on that it is clear Obama failed miserably. Sure the next guy will do some of the same things all the others you mentioned did but if they get the economy back and people back to work who gives a shit. Solyndra alone pisses people off and when you put the head of GE (a zero tax payer) on your team even the sheep begin to scratch their heads (figuratively speaking). In the end Obama can't even keep the attention of non-voting high school kids and he can't sell his bullshit anymore, even to them. If the bell would have rang while he was in mid speech they would have been out of there in a heart beat.

How do you suppose a Mitt Romney gets anything back on track? BUT IF. The reality is Romney is a clusterfuck, he has no idea what he believes in from one day to the next. The guy doesnt want to cut from defense, i mean its nuts on parade (wink wink)! Santorum? LMFAO. Hes so obsessed with whos cock is where he has not a clue how to jump start the economy or business. Solyndra is typical of what we can expect. Take a look at the donors on Romneys list and the cozy relationship to big business the last administration had. Nothing changes policy wise, just the faces. Does the debt shrink? Are we more free? Do you think this will change under Obama or Santorum or Newt? Hahaha not me.

Newt will move the country more towards the right than Romney

but even Romney is far to the right of Obama (who isn't)

I don't think either man would be as full as shit as Obama is

and there is still Congress to deal with. the best thing that can happen for Paul supporters is for the Tea Party to grow their influence

Willie, most of these kids wont even be able to vote this year. A group of high school kids include 9th-12th grade, so the majority are not even 18 years old yet. When you find a group of adults laughing at Obama, then you might have something, but your argument in this case is lame...

I regularly hang out with a group of adults who laugh at Obama. Sometimes we cry, but mostly it is laughter.

Actually I don't think we should drastically cut military spending myself. Solyndra is a Dem fantasy come true that turned into a nightmare. This election has to be about fiscal responsibility. Cutting military expenses is not where you start. Obama will not ok the pipeline, and we are not drilling offshore. At this point I think you can just assume that anyone is better than Obama and work from there. If the Dem's think he is their best shot power to them but I think any of the Rep choices are a better alternative. If the Republican can reclaim the senate and Obama wins we are in some deep shit as his ego will take us down.
