Just curious ... I see it all the time in CFB forum. Guys post numbers that can't be found and get pissy when you call them out. Makes no sense to me...We all know the lines so why post one that isn't available? ##)

They do it so they have a better chance to have a good looking record and then they will try to be a tout and sell their services.

If you adjust the spread on everygame by a point or two, it will give you some games you would normally push or lose.

Some might do it because they have to post early, sometimes the night before so lines are much different. Most probably do it to have a better chance of winning their bet or pretending to win their bet.

people just try and gain any edge they can when posting picks.they know a half point can make a difference in a game so they use it just in case they need it.sometimes they need a point but the same reasoning applies here.

also to be fair, sometimes and i only mean sometimes you can find a line that is not readily available at the time but there is always one place that have their lines way out of bounds and people will take advantage like that also

All very true. IMO IF a guy bets a line early & says so & also says what is WA now, I see no harm. He should also state if he'd play it @ the new #!!! i.e. I played the Pitt total under when it was 34-, I bought to 35, now 33-, I'd STILL play it @ 34, B a 1/2.

Another example is today in CBB. When Loy Md came out I jumped on -12, in the last hr or so has moved to 14. Tho Canisius is terrible don't know if I'd play that #!:ohno:
