I was a regular contributor to TheRx.com way back in the early 2000s and was even privileged enough to meet Ken one time in Las Vegas. I'm happy to see the forums still going strong because I always considered the crowd here to be the most astute group I ever came across when it came to matters regarding money. That being written, I'd like to throw a question out there for anyone who can help. Hopefully the knowledge shared can benefit others down the road.

Here's the thing. I have to contest my father's will in Queens later this month. He didn't have a lot of dough when he died, only about $100k. But I'd like (and could really use) my rightful half.

Seems that my brother who suffers from some mental illness (bi-polar, depression, etc) , coerced our dad into re-writing the will about 6 years ago, leaving me out completely. Neither one has been completely "with it" recently.

Has anyone ever contested a will? I'd really like to find a hungry young lawyer who will take this case on a contingency basis so I don't ante $5k with the prospect of walking with nothing.

Any suggestions/advice would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome Back Charlie :103631605

I moved this here because you will get more views and maybe someone that has gone through the same as you.

Plus I believe there are a few Lawyers around here as well.

Thanks. It's a sucky situation and, sadly, I'm sure many others will have to suffer through it one day.
