and that's what you are seeing tonight, but damn, it sure is boring.....

doesnt mean they arent talented, but NO SCORING isnt much fun either....i enjoy a good 20-17 game, or something, but just run left, run right, 2 yard pass, gets old......

We knew this is what it would be, but for the biggest game of the year, its kind of depressing.....thinking Oklahoma State would have made the game fun at least

Dullest BCS game in quite some time. Lsu crossed mid field once. What could LSU have possibly worked on for the past 44 days.
Guess they saved the worst bowl game for viewing for last. So much for big game hype. A game of scrabble about as exciting...

I agree that defense is boring. But when you have a big bet on Alabama, every stop by their defense is exciting. Add to that the fact that Alabama was able to move to a certain extent and you have some excitement.

The first game was great defense; this one was good defense and poor offense. Jefferson missed at least a few throws that Luck or Weeden would have completed in their sleep.

Bama played ONE team with a top-75 offense (Arky) and beat 1 team with a winning record before LSU. That's not debatable either. All of the SEC QB's suck. Bama still shouldn't have played in this game, they had their chance and lost it.

we'll never know how these teams would have fared against the top programs from other conferences. A few years ago, conventional wisdom was that Ohio St and Michigan were the two top teams, and since they played a very close game they should play a rematch for the championship.

they weren't enabled to do so, and they were both literally blown out of their bowl games, neither was competitive. Suffice to say, they weren't 1 and 2.

the system is flawed, this season proved that more than ever.

BTW: I respect both LSU & Bama, my argument is just that no conference should be handed the championship. As Ohio St & MI proved, perception becomes a very powerful tool.

and some teams can move the ball too

Is the Tide a great D? Sure, I think so. How the hell can we really tell, against an offense that many teams would shut down. Tide may win, but I guarantee you there's no way they'd do that to OSU, Stan, Wisc, or Oregon. 8 qtrs & NO TD's, get fucking real. Tide are the #1, this yr, but wish they had played an offense w/a pulse! The LSU QB is a joke! Let em face Wilson, Luck, Thomas & that OU speed, & Weeden. Hell Ol Case would ring em up for a couple.

Too bad we will never know unless a playoff system is implemented....Saban sure had some studs on defense this year...I'm sure you will see most of them on the next level...

I miss the days when the four major bowls games actually meant something. And most of the teams went into their games thinking they had a crack at the national title. The BCS has taken all of the luster out of college football.

LSU scored an average of 38.5 point a game,...you call that a poor offense,..get real....all you people have to get off your high horse and accept that ALABAMA is the best team in college football.....they would shut down crappy OKLA.ST,STANFORD,OREGON,WISCONSIN,ETC.......give credit where its due already,im sick of you people hateing on BAMA,...get the fuck over it
