This is probably some sort of lame attempt at viral marketing a 2012 end-of-the-world disaster movie.

After all, as we all know, there are no such thing as psychic abilities, just as there is no such thing as magic, aliens, ghosts, monsters, unicorns or gods.

If this was shot in 1980, it was on very high quality film for the time, I'm talking major movie studio stuff. It doesn't look like the video quality that you typically see from documentaries or TV from that era. It's obvious that the subtitles have been added recently as well. I'm going to say fake.
