Get me the XOXO coach.
A good / great coach can make a good player great.
A good recruiter probably gets the better talent, but there's more to the game than just talent.
Is the superstar out of HS the recruiting coach-able? Is he a 'me first' head case? ............

Give me an excellent XOXO coach, that takes 12 individuals, molds a team using the 12 individuals strengths.
Give me the XOXO coach that teaches proper box out techniques, proper positioning, that sort of thing over the recruiter that could get the better talent that might be a detriment to the team regardless of how good he is.

to me it's more about what school you are at... If you are at a big time school Kentucky, UNC ect.. I want X-O coach...

But I think if I am at any other kind of school, I want a super recruiter..... I think X-O's can be done by assistant easy... but I dont disagree with other....

ya i have to go with defy. the top schools recruit them selves. i mean look at a school like ucla, they always have a top recruiting class because of the history, but the coach isnt very good imo, and cant take advantage of it.

Every HS school girl (well just about) wants to play for Geno at UConn.
Yes, UConn's reputation in women's basketball is the recruiter, Geno is still a great coach.

Lets name the ones that are both.

Dave Rice is the 1st to come to mind.

Belichick and Brad Stevens. The 2 best in the game. 1 of them is clearly mine. Be nice when he returns to college. Likely coaching Boston College the way it seems to workout.
