BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Saturday’s AFC Divisional Playoff will place all eyes on two men both on and off the field.

The showdown between Brady and Tebow on the field will dictate the outcome of a showdown between the mayors of Boston and Denver.

Boston Mayor Tom Menino announced on Thursday he has made a “friendly wager” with Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.

The city leaders will trade jerseys and local delicacies depending on the outcome. If the Patriots win, Mayor Hancock will wear a Tom Brady jersey to an upcoming public function. He will also treat Mayor Menino to a Colorado steak dinner.

Should the Broncos win on Saturday, Boston’s Paul Revere statue will have to don a Tim Tebow jersey for an entire day. Mayor Menino will also have to treat Mayor Hancock to a New England lobster dinner.

Mayor Menino seems pretty confident in his team’s chances.

"The Patriots have all the tools an NFL team needs to go all the way," Mayor Menino said. "I am confident in our team, and if the Patriots prevail, I will send Mayor Hancock a brand new Tom Brady jersey for his next public event, while I enjoy a fine steak dinner, his treat."

Wagers between city leaders are most commonly seen before a championship game. As Boston’s mayor, Menino is accustomed to winning these wagers. All four of Boston’s major sports teams have won championships in the past decade.
