Poors in this country should be grateful. Most of them have cellphone, cable tv, internet, adequate healthcare, shelter, more than enough food to eat. Poors in other countries do not know where their next meal is coming from.

There is a good new for you happy leeches, I just finish about 2/3 of my tax return, my Fed tax liability is $8,182, hopefully I can bring it down a little bit more once I got my mortgage statement. That money should take care at least one poor family in this country for 6 months. So don't forget to send me thank you note when you spend my check.

Those welfare checks and food stamps will keep rolling in, just remember to vote for me

Couldn't disagree more. I've worked with many inner city poor people. It isn't a good life. Even those few who work the system live very bad lives. Plus I've been poor and I've had money.....life is easier with money.

I don't like the comparison to "other countries". This is America jack...we are better then all other countries.

You should not even concern yourself with what poor people have or don't have. You wouldn't trade your life for theirs....ever. Be grateful for what you have....not bitter about what the less fortunate have.

Although billhill being wrong comes as no surprise to people with a brain. He should probably know that the people collecting welfare the most by percentage are white. The biggest block are white single mothers. You guys should take a look at how often they vote. Doubt that is the group responsible for obama winning elections. Guess they are too busy living their high on the hog lives to vote.

Poor who lives a responsible life will be better off in the long run, those who milks the system will just live that for the rest of their lives.

I work as a volunteer for Polk County in my area, I spend 60 hours of my time doing free tax services for low income families every year. Some of them are really responsible. I've seen a quite many of them have multiple W-2s in one year, that indicates not everyone likes collecting unemployment checks, those folks deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I simply do have the same respect with those who takes advantage of the system, but whether or not I have problem with them, I don't let that to affect my services providing to them. I'll do my best of my knowledge and capability to maximize their refund, tax credits, and any other benefits that they're entitled to according to tax law.

I admire that. Good work you're doing there. Hats off.

You are correct. The majority that I've worked with do not wanna be on welfare but quit honestly some of them need it. As in every walk of life you have your jerks that milk the system and are just flat out scum. I think that is the very small minority from what I've seen at least.

Kinda like Bush did with his RX bill and his trying to wage the war of the Christian Right. A Politician buying votes future and present and past with tax paying dollars is as old as the country itself.
