Fox and Directv still haven't resolved their dispute and as it stands, the FOX games will not be shown in South Florida. I am getting ready to hammer Directv if I miss even one game.

Can't you just watch Fox on the local channels? Turn off your Directv and watch tv over the air. You can do that you know. I'm assuming you have an hdtv?

No you don't. I have an HDTV and all I had to buy were the rabbit ear antennas. You only need the digital converter box if you have the old fashioned tvs but all HDTVs can pick up the digital signals that go over the air for free.

And the picture is in HD as well. With cable or satellite you need to pay extra for the HD package. Oh and even without an rabbit antenna you can pick up a lot of channels.

How come it's only in part of the country.. doesn't make sense that they would have an agreement elsewhere

We are going to see more and more of this as affiliates and networks negotiate new contracts with Directv and cable tv. Sucks the big one. I am watching the game on my computer. However, I have already notified Directv that I expect to be compensated for this. The only reason I have Directv is to watch sports.

I don't understand how it makes a difference where you live.

I'm sitting at a buddy's house watching the game in HD on Direct Tv as I post this.

Directv is in a contractual dispute with the local Fox affiliate in Miami. Trust me, the game is not being shown in South Florida.

Just change your address with Directv. I used to do that when they only offered online Sunday Ticket to NYC
