Believe it or not , it really doesn't matter that much to the networks.
Unlike other sporting events the Super Bowl is such a large part of pop culture and americana , that the nielsons ratings really dont vary that much from year to year (when you start drawing 90 million , 88 or 92 just isnt that big a difference).
