We always have the usual party square sheet (I always make fancy ones with all the logos) but we also draw players for the first TD of each half with each winner taking the pot. I only have family and a few friends over so you can select RB's, WR's, TE's and then Special Teams/The Field. Everyone seems to enjoy this each year.

BEER BATTERED PICKLES

1 Jar Dill pickle chips (I used Vlasic Ovals)

1 bottle beer (I used Coors Light)
2 egg YOLKS
1 3/4 cups All Purpose flour
Veg oil for frying

Step 1:
Drain the pickles in a colander. I let them sit until most of the liquid dried.

Step 2:
In a small mixing bowl combine 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour, 2 eggs YOLKS and the bottle of beer
(It should look like pancake batter, if not use more beer)

Step 3:
Dip the Pickles into the batter

Step 4:
Place your pickles in a pan that has a veg oil, the oil should be around 350 degrees
( the pickles shouldn't be submerged in oil. like a quart inch thick of oil in your pan)

Step 5: Flip and Fry them until they are golden on each side
Doesn't take long for each side

serve with ranch.

Biggest thing with these, is making you let them sit out and drain the pickle juice. I made 2 batches. The first sat out longer. had them sitting out on paper towels. they tasted better than the ones that didn't sit out as long. You don't want pickle juice shooting in your mouth. well maybe some of you do @)

Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip

<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/4 cup mayonnaise<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/4 cup grated Romano cheese<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1 clove garlic, peeled and minced<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/2 teaspoon dried basil<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/4 teaspoon garlic salt<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">salt and pepper to taste<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained<LI class="plaincharacterwrap ingredient">1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a small baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese, garlic, basil, garlic salt, salt and pepper. Gently stir in artichoke hearts and spinach.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the preheated oven 25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly browned.
Like with any dish in the oven with cheese on top, don't make it too heavy of a layer of cheese ontop or it becomes thick and hard.
This is the best hot Spinach dip I've been able to make. (wasn't near as good as applebees, but tasty) It was surprisingly easy. I was surprised how quickly it went. Between me and my girl we aate75% of it.. May want to double or triple depending on the number of people. Also, it seems to cool fast. Was very thick and heavy after it cooled, something thats meant to be eaten as soon as it's cooked

Must Have - Buffalo Chicken Dip

I do NOT great credit for this one. PublicsMoney gave this to us during the superbowl last year. EVERYONE always ask for the recipe and next time I go to their house for an event, they serve it. I've literally made this 30 times over the last year and have to write down the recipe for someone every time. It always steals the show and its simple.

Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Great with any type of Cracker or Nacho Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (a store-bought rotisserie chicken works best), shredded
  • 1/2 cup buffalo WING sauce, recommended brand Texas Pete
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing (I use Ranch Instead)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (I use moz or cheedar)
Yields: 6-8 servings

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300°F.

Cover the bottom of an 8x8" dish or pie plate with cream cheese. (put cream cheese in baking dish and zap it for 20-30 secs to soften)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, wing sauce and butter, mix then pour over the cream cheese-filled dish or pie plate.

Top with just enough blue cheese dressing (or ranch, I just do a zig zags of ranch across the top) and mozzarella cheese to cover (adding too much cheese will cause a thick skin to form that will make eating the dip difficult once the cheese cools).

Heat the dip in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve with Scoops (Tortillas or Fritos) alongside for dipping.

PARTY GAME

Pass the Cup

Make a list of things that happen in a football game: 1st downs, sacks, turnover, touchdown, field goals, sack, ect....

Announce that the catogory for that round.. for this Example: SACK

First person starts by putting a set amount in it, for this example, lets say dollar

Person 1 gets the cup, puts a dollar in it, if that playthe QB gets sacked, then the person holding the cup gets all the money out of the cup ..

if no sack, pass it to the next person, they put their dollar in, and if the QB gets sacked, they get the money..

this continues until there is awinner, then you can change catogories. To keep it simple. You can just do scoring plays..

I am going to do this... probably just .25cents since most my friends are broke. May do a dollar round later in the game...

I print out a piece of paper with like 10 or 15 props -- coin flip, first TD, more passing yards, what comes first, etc. All are yes/no, or one side or the other, no lines. Costs $20 to buy the sheet, you answer every question. At the end of the game whoever gets the most right wins the pot. Pretty fun because people can follow multiple angles of the game, not just score/total, and there's more "skill" to it than the 100 squares and you end up with the numbers 2 and 8 or some shit.

it will be my 10th (maybe more) SB party

Huskygal handles the food, I can't help there

my job is to get everybody drunk, lots of booze and some popular shots (even for the girls)

good games are darts for anybody and Foosball if you have space

I also like to decorate, especially when the Pats are playing
