So one is a hero, and the other a goat. One is a winner and one is a loser. I like the new OT rule which tends to make a team go for a TD rather than take an (almost) automatic FG.
I was watching the NFL channel early in the am the other day, and they were showing the Giants/49er Wild Card playoff game from years ago. The Giants were having all kinds of problems that year on special teams, so Pasell brought in an established long snapper that came out of retirement just so the Giants could use him in the playoffs. Troy Jenkins was his name. He had two snaps for FG attempts and screwed them both up. The second one cost them the game.
So when the Giants lined up tokick the winning FG, all that would cross my mind was the screw up snap that happened years ago, and I just prayed that history didn't repeat itself. Thank G-d it didn't!
