Actually what I've always wanted to do is make a Year-Long contest with these 3 Major Sports included; NFL-NBA-MLB
Each participant has to make, say 30 picks, in each sport for that season.
Obviously some would be better in a particular sport, but then when their sports rolls around, they have a chance to make up ground if they didn't fare well in one of the others.
I was sooo close to getting 2 Offshore books (BetJamaica and another) to join forces for the first time in a contest a couple of years ago, to put this one together with some big prizes since it would last a full year.
It was already named 'The Total Capper'
But the other book fell through towards the end...
i for one would put up $ 200 for a year long contest. one where we paid a winner for each (big 6) sport and then an overall champ.
i'd say somewhere around this many picks for each sport
NFL = 50 . can be sides or totals in any sport
COLL FB = 30.
NBA = 60
COLL BB = 30
NHL = 60
MLB = 100
If we were to do it, MLB would be the best time to begin.
I would leage out NHL.
Wouldn't mixing pro & college make it more complicated?
i'd be happy to get involved with keeping track of things..
i think it needs to be worked on with a start date of this years MLB opening day.
ideas could be something like picks being 1 to 3 units. we could pay out something for the longest winning streak .
got to have 25 guys around here with $ 200 to invest .. prize pool of $ 5000
if we had 5 different sports . nfl , cfb, cbb , nba , mlb.. pay $ 500 out in each sport. $ 300, $ 200 for top 2 places
split the remaining $2500 between the overall winner and maybe 2nd thru 5th.
try and make it fun. not a huge entry fee for the year by any means.. would be open for any ideas..
personally, i'd like to see everything done in cash and not in match play or rollover requirements. i have a few buddies who dont even know about this site that would probably get in.
me and my buddies put up $ 300 every year for our fantasy football, so something like this is would be a no brainer for a few of them.
