Do you think the following injury update has been factored into the spread?

A Grade 1 sprain, the type Gronkowski most likely suffered, could require anywhere from 1-4 weeks of recovery time; a Grade 2 or 3 sprain, in which there is some degree of looseness of the ankle joint, could take longer and even require surgery if the tear is complete.
Assuming Gronkowski suits up on Sunday, the biggest concerns will be pain tolerance and whether there is worsening ankle swelling, both of which would significantly impair the joint's range of motion and strength. you probably won't be seeing Gronkowski do much on the practice field this week. In fact, it's been reported that he may not practice all week.

I heard some reporter somewhere saying he saw Gronk running on Monday

but since I haven't heard it anywhere else, don't know how accurate that statement is

IF it's true that he must be operated on after the season, the injury is a LOT worse than what is being told about the injury.

i think he plays, but will be limited, catch a couple of passes
since he is the pats major downfield weapon, i dont think the spread reflects his injury

Bill B has lied about injuries the past 10 years.

I wouldn't put it beyond him to tell a healthy player to wear a walking boot to throw the other team(s) game plan off track.

Here's the thing with high ankle sprains, I believe after 2 weeks of some of the best sports PT there is, he will be able to move forward, by forward I mean just straight with some discomfort, but if he has to go up on his toes, forget about it, I know he's a tough as nails boy, but he'll feel it, big time.
Also if he has to plant and cut, forget about it, believe me, I've, and I bet a few of you have been there.

If I'm the Giants, I send every blitz his way. Good luck with that NE.

No games to play after this week. He's young and will give it everything he's got. The big Q (for the NYG and the prop players) is how much will he be used in the game plan and how much will he be a decoy.

I feel he will be used often early, but once the painkillers wear off a bit AND the NYG see him get looks, NE will change gears and look for Branch, and others.
