Lot of good reasons in this thread

Southwest Airlines for most all U.S. domestic.......quite simply, "they get it".

With sufficient advance purchase, prices are in fact, pretty similar across the USA for "coach seating". And SWA has no baggage fees on first two checked and two carry on

Works real well for taking Senora NES on a tour of your favorite state - TEXAS

since I am the expert advisor for NES the right question is , what is the best airport for coming into the US

Houston
Dallas
Miami
Charlotte

From that list stick to Houston (American via Dallas is usually more expensive and out of SJO there is only one flight from here to there /day). Miami is a mad house always....Charlotte not bad but small airport and the last time I went through there ...there was a megameltdown due to thunderstorms

so stick to Houston, I have spoken

Southwest is cheap but the seating area is tiny. Would pay extra for more space on anything longer than a 2 hour flight.

Of those you listed I would choose USAir because I would be upgraded. If I had to sit in coach the choice is easy I would fly on Continental metal.

coming from Europe its also great (beats JFK/EWR by a LONG shot) and also if you are coming from Asia.......well, LAX is like 164rd in my list of "Best places to transit through"

but yeah, the only problem with Houston airport is the name they used for it , other than that , my favorite airport and not a bad city either

Fly any Asian Airline one time across the Pacific and you will start to wonder why US flights are even in existence when it comes down to courtesy and comfort.....
