If you are a pro player that gets paid to play, I don't care if you are the Jolly Green freaking Giant, you don't miss 15 foot free shots with nobody in your face and nine guys standing in the lane.

You know why these prima-donna's don't practice free throws?
Because free throws don't get you face time on Sports Center.
Blake Griffin throw downs do, but making 15 foot free shots, why bother, no glory in that, right?
I've played organized bball for my school team and I know how it's like when you are dog tired....but I'm not buying that as an excuse. No reason whatsover a pro player should air ball a free throw.
Then again..it happens man. You get a mental brain cramp and you just throw up a fairy shot. It happens once in a blue moon. I normally aim for the back of the rim when shooting(I'm a pretty damn good shooter) but one time I had a brain freeze right before shooting the ball and aimed for the middle of the net and air balled it. Happened only once in my life and it's not a big deal.
(by the way if anybody is going to crack about why you aim for the back of the rim and not the center of the rim you have to play bball to understand.
