How is this even legal

My guess is that they are able to pull this off due to basing the operations in a 'sovereign nation'. Without a doubt, there are some 'non native' racketeers pulling the strings.

interest should be based on the risk the lender is taking. not based on what is fair to the borrower.

i would imagine the default rate is pretty high on these loans making the interest rate astronomical (as it should be)

it should be illegal to not charge the proper interest rate based on risk. (ask countrywide)

LOL the wife and I just saw that commercial. Those people should be put in jail. How is this even legal

The people that allow these shops to go get in business are probably getting kick backs. There is no difference between places like these or credit card companies charging 28% interest on people with bad credit & the mobster loan sharks charging heavy juice. Its all a scam to pillage you of course no one if forcing you to go take out a loan from any of the sources ive mentioned but I am stating the obvious where if the places like the OP mentioned or the credit card companies can get away with charging you an arm & a leg for a loan, then why shouldnt the mobsters be allowed legally in the racket. I tell you why, because the government doesnt get any kickback (meaning their share of taxes) from mobsters, hence the reason they go after them.

Bottom line is its all a scam, even our government & the people running it. Thats my rant for today :)
