Has anyone heard of “WING BOWL”?
This Friday I will be attending the 2012 Wing Bowl. This is an event that has been going for 20 years. It’s associated with radio station WIP in Philadelphia. It was started out of frustration stemming from the Eagles never being in the Super Bowl. It’s held annually the Friday before Super Bowl and is basically a wing eating contest. This year 26 contestants will compete for the top prize of $20,000 cash. It starts at 6:00am and goes to 10:00am which coincides with the morning radio show.

The contest is who eats the most wings but it’s loaded with sex. It begins with the contestants being introduced and they come out and parade around the arena on some sort of float accompanied by an entourage of friends and wingettes. These entourages become quite elaborate and they are judged with the best presentation winning a vacation getaway to the Caribbean for 4. The wingettes are girls that are selected from tryouts held over the previous month in studio and at various area clubs. These girls (wingettes) in addition to accompanying the entourages assist the eater they are assigned to supplying the wings and moral support/cheering for their contestant.
The wingettes wear as little as possible and are for the most part very ‘Hot’. Some of the girls are just every day women that want to show off their sexiness & bodies but most are employees of the numerous “gentlemen’s clubs” where bodies are a prerequisite.
During the entrances and all during the contest there is plenty of flashing similar to the “Girls Gone Wild” format. The girl that is selected ‘Top’ (sexiest) Wingette wins a Harley motorcycle.
All during the show and contest there are breaks for the radio show commercials. During these breaks there is live music and the girls on stage as well as in the audience engage in dancing and flashing is rampant. Also during the breaks mobile cameras show different girls, some from the audience and some from on stage, on the fan-a-vision and when the women see they are on the big screen many can’t control the urge to show it all. Some play coy and shy away but often even they succumb to the pressure and give it up.
Adding to the pleasure of all the eye candy is girls who are in the audience that stand up and flash all during the event. Believe me there’s something about a girl who is a mere member of the crowd showing her boobs that makes you feel good all over. As a member of the large contingent of men I can tell you we supply plenty of encouragement whenever a sexy girl so much as stands up. The atmosphere is very much like the scene at Mardi Gra and in fact a lot of guys bring beads to use as incentives. Words can’t really do justice to how wild and crazy the event is.
Various celebrities appear as guests and we’ve had the top professional eaters as contestants. This year a favorite from the pro eating circuit is Koybayashi of hot dog eating fame. Two of this year’s celebrities are Jenna Jamison & Mary Carey. (Last year they had Snooki)
When the event ends there are after parties at all the area men’s clubs where they offer various incentives such as free buffets to attract business. They feature extra girls to add to the fun. It may not be the Super Bowl but the day is definitely a super party.
There is a fair share of hot civilian girls that show up. I guess these are the true party girls and since they have been drinking freely in a sexualy charged atmosphere if you manage to hook up scoring is basically a sure thing.
You can actually start partying Thursday Night as they have a big celebration at a club by the sports complex that they call it the weigh-in. It features radio station personalitys, all the contestants and some of the women. Some people party all night meaning they go from club to tailgate to the event. I did that one time but you get way too toasted trying that. I like being able to identify my surroundings. Nothing worse than the morning after when you get in that I’ll do anybody mode.
