If the Pats Hail Mary had have worked , would they've gotton the opportunity for the extra point? I think it's game over...Pats by 2. Others say they have to kick it. I know due to playoff tiebreakers in the reg season they do kick it. I say not in the playoffs.

Seems I saw this happen in one other game in the past where one team scored with no time left, and the extra point wasn't kicked because it wasn't necessary. Much like what happens after a TD in overtime. No kick

This reminds me of a situation a few years back, I think it was Miami & the Pats. NE scored as time ran out, teams left the field and the refs had to go into the lockers to get them back which took some time. Miami was dejected and uniforms had been removed so they declined to put a team out on the field. With no opposition Belichick in true Belicheck fashion had the QB walk into the end zone for 2. Thing is the 2 effected the betting outcome. I don’t recall details but that’s the kind of thing that will drive you nuts if you lose like that.

That was regular season but I fail to see how post season would differ. Sudden death states any score ends the game, an extra point is an extension of the game so it doesn’t happen. Regulation isn’t sudden death and the extra point is part of the td regardless of it extending the game. Perhaps the playoffs have some kind of exception but I don't see why it would.

I think game over. You only kick extra point in regular season because of tiebreakers for playoffs and homefield. Why would you kick an extra point in playoffs with zero on clock? Game over.

In College football they don't kick extra points with zero on clock unless it's a tie game.

That's the rule, but maybe two years ago in a (I believe) Louisville game, the stupid refs did not know the rules and let the scoring team line up to kick. Of course it affected the spread, and I was infuriated. Then the kid actually missed the extra point. Anyone else remember this game?
