I used to bet on sports a lot, but have been "away" for years. Anyway I decided to open a new account at Justbet for this year's superbowl. I'm really not familiar with "free rolls" or how any of the common promotions work. I made a pretty small deposit, $400, via credit card. They offered me the 35% 6x promo, which I accepted, plus some $50 "free prop bet". I basically bet everything on the moneyline for the Giants, and a prop bet on New England to have first turnover (which they did). So all told, I ended up with $1033 in my account.

Great. I'm happy. For me this was a one time thing, to make the superbowl interesting, I don't want to keep betting, I just want my money and I'll be back next year for the next superbowl. So I try to get paid - first thing I find is that its impossible to request money via the website (huh??). Next they tell me I have to call, but only during limited hours when normal people are at work and not exactly able to talk to a sportsbook. OK. So I call, next they tell me I have to wait 15 days to withdraw any fund (again, HUH???). And finally the straw that breaks my back, they tell me I cannot withdraw ANY AMOUNT until I've wagered $3000!!! I lost it at that point and blew up, eventually hanging up.

Is this really how it works? Or did this customer service person not know what they were talking about? OK, after reading about freerolls and promo stuff - I think I get it, you have to wager 6x your deposit plus bonus to be able to keep the promo funds - that's fine (not much of a promo but whatever), but can't I at least get my money plus winings MINUS the promo funds out???? This guy I talked to said no, which dumbfounds me. They can keep their promo funds, but I want my money out and there is no way in hell I'm going to wager $3000 which would almost certainly result in me losing everything. From my perspective this promo is a total scam to trick people who do not understand the rules. By the way, NO WHERE ON THEIR SITE does it say you cannot withdraw your funds if you use the promo.

If in fact, the customer service guy was wrong, then these people need to be better trained. Or better yet, let me withdraw using the website, it is rediculous that I have to call.

Why the hell did you take the bonus if you just wanted to wager and take out your winnings after the Superbowl? At 6x rollover, you will need to bet a total of $3,540 before you are allowed to withdrawl. That is why they offer bonuses, they know that a lot of people will bust out before meeting their rollover requirements. No way to get your money out until rollover is met. Next time just make a deposit and do not accept any bonuses. Hope you can roll it over and make some money, good luck!

There are 2 types of player's. Guys that take bonuses and guys that don't. There is no right or wrong. It a personal choice. I don't care whether you take a bonus or not. Just as many guys cash out who take bonuses as those that don't. If you don't want any restrictions as to when you can request a payout, don't take a bonus. Taking a bonus is you using some of OUR money to help you increase your chances. Its a numbers game. It's a gambling website after all and taking a bonus and then wanting to withdraw your winnings only favors the player 100% with no risk. Doesn't seen too fair.

your comment "By the way, NO WHERE ON THEIR SITE does it say you cannot withdraw your funds if you use the promo" I can only answer by saying "NO WHERE ON THEIR SITE does it say you can". It's understood.

The 15 day wait for using a CC is ONLY on the first time you use the card. In other words, if you use the same card again 2 weeks later, make a deposit, take no bonus ... you can cash out the next morning. We will likely have your money later that afternoon. Most, if not all books have an initial waiting period. Some are 30 days.

Bottom line, keep betting and I hope you do well and make a nice payout.

Funguy Everything seems like it's been handled well by us but if you need more answers to anything I would be happy to do what I can to explain things further. Go on live chat or call me anytime.

This is arrogant nonsense. You HONESTLY THINK its OK to NOT disclose this CRITICAL piece of info on your website? Or to NOT explain this to new customers??? You've GOT to be kidding!! "It's understood" BY WHO??? By YOU and the hardcore gambling addicts who have been burned once already?? Give me a break.

Look, you guys can keep your bonus, I don't want it. You know exactly how much money is the result of the bonus, please just remove it from my account and pay me my money. Obviously now that I know what a scam these bonuses are, I will not be using them in the future.

You, Not being a Seasoned Gambler might make you think it's "arrogant nonsense"
But it's a known fact how these Bonuses work.

And as far as the Hold of 14-30 days on a CC deposit, it has to do with fraud prevention.

Best to deposit in other ways like Person to Person, and Not take a Bonus of Any kind.

If you took a 35% bonus on $400 with a 6x rollover then you're required to wager $3,240 before you withdrawal. Given that you already wagered $540, you still have $2,700 to go. No problem; simply bet $11 (assuming -110 odds) on every college basketball underdog on the board until you've gone through that $2,700 then withdraw your money. Odds are that you'll still show a decent profit.

Just roll the 3K over, that is a small ass roll. Do a bunch of $50 bets, hopefully you hit 50% and just lose the juice.

I side with just bet in this case.

+1. the op's lack of knowledge before depositing is whats causing all the problems. why would a book give you like a free $100-150 and let you immediatly withdraw the next day, makes no sense

If you wager basketball and baseball why not just leave your funds in there to continue playing and you may eventually reach your rollover and collect the bonus as well...?

OK - to YOU GUYS this is all "common knowledge" but I would submit to you that for 99% of the population this is NOT common knowledge. Don't you think it would be ethical and appropriate for ALL gambling sites that use this bonus system to fully explain it? I just signed up, I'm VERY USED TO getting incentives for signing up for various new accounts for example I just got $250 worth of bonus money for signing up for a new credit card. I thought it was an incentive for new users to sign up with the site. I never said I expected to be able to withdraw the bonus money the next day. What I expected, and I still think this is a very resonable expectation for someone who didn't know better - is that I would be able to withdraw my actual deposit and winnings from my deposit. I expected the bonus money and winnings would have to stay in the account until the 6x rollover.

At any rate, thanks for your help and your comments.

Regarding the idea of placing a lot of small bets and hoping for 50% win rate. Considering I'd have to bet the full balance more than 3 times, even if I was fortunate enough to be 50% right, I'd lose more than 30% of my account, leaving me with around $700. Not taking the bonus would have resulted in $880 ($400 * 1.2 moneyline on Giants). So I'm worse off by about $180 by taking the "bonus" - WHAT A DEAL! :)

Actually, if you hit 50% over $3000 bet, you would be down $150, or at $883, so ever so slightly better off :aktion033
