I'm going to buy a big supply of medication that I need to take here in CR to use back in the states. How much do you think I could put in my checked bag before I get asked questions about it?

Just get a doctor to give you a form letter saying you need these medications and I would think you have no worries...just as long as the doctor is not named Wapner....

Get a prescription for a 90 day supply. That's what you're allowed to take. It doesn't matter if it's 80 pills, 6 times a day. That's the line. Now, 80 pills, 6 times a day, plus 12 boxes of Cohibas is another story... Don't ask me how I know this...

I used to do alot of international traveling and always would pick up really cheap meds. It used to be you could bring up to 60 tablets of a foreign prescription drug no problems, they would even repack it for you. So I would also to different dosage, like 5mil and then 10mil... so was sticking to the letter of the law. Never a problem. Once my buddy asked me to bring him some anabolic steroids, which I did. Was like the differnce of paying 5 bucks a pop instead of like 20 or 30 in the US. Wouldnt you know it... had all this stuff in my bag... dianabol tabs, and sustanon and deca durabolin for him and they pulled me right out the line. Just about pissed myself... long story short is guy opened my bags and went through just about everything, looked right at the meds. Twenty minutes later he put everything back and said have a nice night. That was 10 years ago... not 100% sure how they would act now. Cannot keep up with legislation that does not concern me now...

Traveling to the states from CR to the states with my ex gf a few years ago. Obv her bag is packed tight and heavy, so being the nice southern boy that I am, I oblige and carry her luggage while she has my carry-on suitcase...needless to say, it is the first time I am pulled out of line so that they can inspect my luggage. Needless to say, it was all her clothes and shit. Customs dude just looked at me and didnt ask any questions...those customs guys have the good life...
