Hello All,

I made a bet that the first 6 mins of the 3rd quarter would go over the 25.5.

Here are the rules from the 5 dimes web site.

NBA first and next 6-minute wagering results are determined from digital recordings of television broadcasts. The ball must be completely through the cylinder and net before 5:59 remaining for a basket to be official in the first 6 minutes of a half. NBA.com, ESPN.com, Yahoo.com, CBSsportsline.com, or any other play-by-play log of the game will not be used or considered for claims. IMAG0072.jpg

I have attached the file of a picture I took. The response I got from customer service is the basket was still touching the net at 5:59 left. Clearly from the picture I have it is not. Can anyone help with this?

Wow that is a tough one. That right there is at the bottom of the net at 6:00 no way take more than a full second to drop even to the ground.

Well I spoke with Tony and won my claim. Since this game was on NBA TV to the nation they used that to grade the game. However, since I am from the home team market and could only view it from the home broadcast Tony sided with me. He said this is the first time it has ever happened where they changed a grade and are now revising the rules. Thanks to ratethebooks and Tony for your quick action.

5Dimes has reversed their decision in this individual case.

As it turns out, the player (Benno300) watched the local broadcast of the game (CSN), whereas the rest of the nation had the NBA TV broadcast.

The digital clock on the replay of the local broadcast did not match with NBA TV, which 5Dimes used to grade. Hence, 5Dimes did grade the play correctly. However, the player did not watch the NBA TV broadcast because it was blacked out in his area. Instead, he watched the local broadcast.

According to Tony, the General Manager of 5Dimes, this is the first time anything like this has happened in his experience.

5Dimes decided to make an exception and rule in favor of the player in this individual case. However, moving forward, only the NBA TV broadcast clock time will be valid.

Now if they could've graded the Over 5 Sacks in the Minn/GB game (WK 10) properly as a win, it would've made it a second overturned decision. Betonline and various other books managed to grade the bet properly but 5dimes had it as a push. I tried to speak to 5dimes about it but they continued to give me the run-around and kept me waiting for 15-30 min. each time while they "asked the wagering dept." or transferred me to the next person. I believe someone created a thread about this situation during that time of the post-game. Stirred up some sour feelings about them again.

their live help can leave a bit to be desired at times though however. I already brought my issue up with 5dimes awhile back to their wagering department but I gave up after it seemed like there was nothing I could do to get them to change their mind even though bookmaker and betonline graded it as a win.
