Check Fed EX

When receiving a withdraw from a book in Costa Rica----If I receive a cashiers check from the book- via fed ex-am i able to cash it at my U.S. bank immediately or do I have to deposit it and wait for the funds to clear---just wondering???:think2::think2:

Will have a hold unless you have enough money in your account to cover the check should it bounce.

Are these checks from American banks or other countries??

Checks drawn from other countries take even longer to clear.

Every book is different.. Some use use banks some use costa Rican or Canadian ones... U have to let the check clear.. Usually an extra 1 day - 1 week... Because of this.. Some books send out money orders now which clear instantly cuz of the us companies names they are drawn from.
