This may be the greatest wagering season ever for TB Ray fans
Thanks to the Angels scoring A Pujols and the Tigers nabbing Prince, John Q Public is now slobbering over five separate teams (NYY, BOS, DET, ANA, TEX) to finish ahead of the Rays
So meanwhile, they (TBR) will once again grind out a pitching staff that finishes in at least Top 3 of the AL and more likely first overall. And with the modest improvements they made in offseason combined with the continued maturation of their core homegrowns (Longo, Zobrist, Upton, Jennings, Joyce) they should be a solid threat for 780 runs which would be about a half run per game improvement over last season's AL Wildcard qualifier.
I don't think that the AL playoff teams will consist of anyone other than the Rays and three of the aforementioned five clubs. So save your bucks if by chance you actually think one of the other eight teams in AL have any shot whatsoever for postseason.

Right on....And all signs point to him being used in the 7th slot of the batting order as he was during a good portion of late 2010. He produced similar power but with a better batting average.
A .230 guy with 30+ HR power is a pretty weak cleanup hitter for an American League team as the Rays learned during most of 2009-10 with same C Pena
But put those same numbers in the 7th slot and suddenly he's a true value
