I was thinking the same thing as that fire was going.

That shit burns HOT. It may cause damage to the track. This is the race that wouldnt be. First the race is postponed for the first time ever. Then this, weird.

I know race fans did not like how everything worked out, but I bet it was great for the exposure of the sport.

My friend was there also and he said it was the most fun Daytonahe has been to and I think he has been to about 10. Said it was a great atmosphere yesterday and today all day.

If any comedy could be found in this extremly dangerous situation, it was the groundcrewsman who was trying to distribute Tide with a green garden fertlizer spreader. The guy who was broadcasting the Tide detergent by hand was covering much more area on the spill versus the guy who was trying to use the spreader. Up and down the track with a garden fertilizer spreader just seemd liked a fruitless effort from my chair. Thankfully everbody came out of the explosion unscaved for the most part and nobody was killed.
