Gronk, Welker, Hernandez and Lloyd?

Hopefully Lloyd takes a little less $ to teamup with the coach who maximizes his value best, Josh McDaniel.

Lloyd would be the deep threat on the outside that NE needs badly.

Don't get me wrong Lloyd is a solid receiver, but he is now 30 and he is much more of a possession receiver then he is a deep threat.. He does have the knack of coming up with the ball, I don't know where the Pats Stand on there Salary Cap but If I were them I would go after Mike Wallace. That bastard can Fly.

Dude is a perennial underachiever. (aka loser)

If he is so good, how come it will be like his 10th team already

Um, he led the NFL in yards in 2010 and then last year putup solid #s on 1 of the worst Os in the league, good 1.

Wallace is like 24 and really good, I doubt NE can afford him and he would require giving up a future #1. Lloyd is almost 31 so his market won't be as big which is good. Given Lloyd's time with McDaniel and the fact he has been great the last 2 years, I think its a really underrated signing if it happens.

i feel like he's not the burner the patriots need, that's all... it's okay for people to have different opinions

Lloyd did go 1450 yards on 77 catches in 2010. Just because he doesn't run a 4.3 flat doesn't mean he can't be a down the field big play guy, especially with a QB like Tom Brady. Also Wallace is a pipe dream because of the draft pick compensation/how much more $ he would cost. Meachem? He didn't do very much for NO.

He had a good season in '10 no doubt, and good stats last year.

b lloyd was on the radio this afternoon, doug gottlieb show I think? Either way, essentially said outright that he'd play for less if it was with NE... I will admit, after hearing him speak, I feel better about the match, as he seems to have a great deal of respect for Brady/BB and obviously for Josh McDaniels.

Pats have 24 million in cap space, so money isn't an issue. They also have multiple 1st and 2nd rounders so giving up a pick wouldn't be difficult.
They are in excellent position.

Lots of big name WRs available. I am sure Pats will land one of them

yea it does seem like a lot of quality names at the WR position that are available, many teams should be able to land some good ones

I'd rather they go a different direction. Brady and Bellichick are good at taking unheralded players and making them stars. That offense makes guys get open. No reason to spend big money on a guy like Lloyd when a cheaper player will put up the same stats.

If they are so good at making unheralded guys stars, why have they only had 1 good outside WR in the past 5 years and he also doubled as a top 3 WR all time in Randy Moss. Obviously I like Belichick and Brady but with football there is a lot of conjecture and hyperbole surrounding coaches/teams/players sometimes. What you said just isn't really true at all.....

That offense makes guys get open, lol.....Yeah it really made Ocho, Stallworth, Galloway and Branch get open. Branch was solid in his return to NE but he has no speed and is just route runner at this point.
