Anyone got any advice for a 10-12 team league (not sure yet)

It is an auction and the categories are

Roster Positions: C, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, OF, OF, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL, DL

Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Batting Average (AVG)

Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP)

Any tricks you do that work every year? Do you like punting a certain category? Loadup on pitching since hitters are easier to find off the waiver as the season goes on? I dunno, anything is helpful. Throw in your most undervalued guys if you want too...

spend 60-65% on hitting, call out SB guys and let people overbid for the 1-catagory.

pitchers - be careful going after pitchers off a career high IP over 150. Good chance they could break down. WHIP guys, you want players 1.3 or less. Don't worry about those numbers when going for saves since they dont pitch enough to affect your other stats.

Curtis Granderson is vastly undervalued and is the best pick you can possibly make in the mid to late 2nd round. James Shields also very undervalued for some reason... reach on him in the 5th round, it's worth it. The yahoo fantasy writers give you some good sleepers/value picks if you read their "5 players I like more than you" segment.

you want to load up on hitting, cheap pitchers are far easier to find. Hitting projections are more accurate than pitching.

Anyone use the rotoworld fantasy baseball draft guide? Its like $35, if it has good info I'll use it. However, if everything there I can just get for free at ESPN or something then its worthless....

If you weregoing to spend $35, probably better off getting ESPN Insider and getting fantasy info for all sports.
