The Big 10 conference is Dominating NCAA Tourney so far. Through the first two rounds, only two of the conferences 6 entries have been eliminated, making their straight up record 9w - 2L. With one of the losses being, Purdue, taking 2nd seeded Kansas to the wire.

Backers of the B10 have been rewarded with a 8-3 spread record, {73%}, so far. On the opposite end of the spectrum, is the mountain west with all four teams eliminated {three in the opening round}.

Big East doing not doing to bad as well, 10 -5 both ats and straight up.
Looks like bump and grind is the style that works in the NCAA now-a-days.

The Big Ten has corned itself into overrated corncob laughing fodder in the tourney for the past 20 years. My concern is that the some big ten teams jumped out of the 2012 clown car before the usual less than spectacular flameout crash. Well done Sparty and Wisky and foul smelling OSU and who is this ... 'Indiana'? They have a basketball team? Props to the Big Ten. It could be worse. Suppose four SEC convicts jumped out of the clown car and escaped out into the NCAA regionals.

Big 10 is indeed looking goood so far. However one must remember that it takes 6 wins to seal the deal so even though the field has been reduced from 68 to 16, We're only 1/3 of the way to the Championship. Lots of basketball yet to play so let's see how many teams make it through to the final 4. The Loss of key players for 2 of the Number 1 Seeds has made the path a little easier with Fab Melo of Syracuse and Marshall of North Carolina out.

There are 3 Big East/Big 10 matchups in next round so that could determine any dominant conference, if there is one...

And let's not forget the NIT and Minnesota. Very impressive road wins over Lasalle and Miami.

Let's not get carried away with this ! The NIT doesn't count unless now you want to call the Pac 12 a powerhouse with wins by Oregon, Washington and Stanford. The NIT is a losers Tourney which is fine but it doesn't really mean squat !

First, UNC and Syracuse will both run well on all their remaining gears. I guarantee that none of the other 14 teams consider either of these two as 'wounded ducks'. Second, I'd be ashamed to say something as stupid as calling the NIT a losers tourney. The NIT is a great tourney and has very good teams clawing at each other down to the final seconds and these games mean tons to their players, students, and school communities. Only a numbnuts never played anything fanboy would call the NIT a losers tourney. Watch Drexel play and tell me they are losers. Both tourneys have their own chemistries and as a hoops fan I'm glad for both. Back to the original subject, congrats to big ten this year.

The NIT is a losers Tournament when We're talking big time NCAA Basketball. I never said it was a bad Tournament but let's be real here. For most of the teams playing, it's a huge disapointment. Ask any Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona fan ! I love the NIT and even the CBI or whatever they call it because it gives schools a chance to play on a bigger stage but they are all there because they lost too many games to qualify for the top 68 ! BTW I may be a numbnuts like you say but just about an hour ago I got a call from my High School Class President and they're thinking about putting me in the Grant High School Hall of Fame for my wrestling skills.

Ok Kermit. Wrestling, outside of hoops, is one of my favorite NCAA sports and I follow it every year down to local HS level - my HS was a wrestling school and outdrew the basketball team complete with cheerleaders for every match. Congrats for the recognition of your wrestling accomplishments. Maybe there should be an NIT for wrestling - yes there already is and it's called 'wrestle backs'. All good friend.

Hahahahahahahaha

Move the three point line back and the Big 10 won't exist - it's horrible basketball filled with kids running a basket weave while holding the ball who have no chance of ever playing after college

Such a shame to see e Big East folding - it's just a different league and no conference comes remotely close

Just checked a mock draft and the Big 10 has two kids projected in the first round - go figure - only team worth shit in recent years is OSU - only team not running a weave while holding the ball and milking the clock cuz they don't have NBA players

As a Cuse fan I don't want to play Cincy again - wouldn't mind seeing OSU win
