Our little boy arrived earlier this week - we were just able to bring him today. Everything went very well and both he and Mrs. are doing very well. He weighed in at 9lbs 1oz...I couldn't believe how big he was when I first laid eyes on him. I have heard my whole life about how much being a father changes you...but it really does. It's all about him now and seeing brings me more joy than I could have possibly imagined. I have a ton of respect for all you other fathers out there (the responsible ones at least!) and wish you all the best of luck with your children. For those of you who are considering it...you will not regret it!
WOW!! Congrats man...I have a 15 month old girl...Your in for some good times and definitely some hard ones also...If I may offer one piece of advice that you may not hear from other people...
Do not underestimate how smart they are from as early as 3 months. I never did the baby talk thing with my daughter. I always talked to her like a regular person and people would laugh and tell me she doeant understand what I am saying..But I am pretty confident its paying off now.
Oh and offer to take the night shift if your wife is not breast feeding....

Good advice...right now we are both taking care of him for feedings/changes. Feeding every four hours and changing every 2 or so seems to be the norm for right now. I used to think I wasn't a light a sleeper, but now we are both up instantly every time he makes a noise. Good luck to you with your little girl!
