Have you ever created a bucket list? If so, whats one of the things left you most want to do?

What's the biggest thing you've already crossed off?

I've thought about it, but mine is pretty small.... and takes money....

I bring this up because last week we went on a double date with my wifes best friend and her new bf. He was talking about his bucket list. Literally written down with all kinds of different things on it, big to small....

Now my wife and her best friend have been obsessive about creating one.... well today while they are out together she called me and told me that that a being a part of the big brothers big sisters program is on her bucket list...

I've actually looked into it years ago, and remember it being such a big committment that I backed out... but she goes tomorrow to fill out the paper work.. makes me nervous... we don't have any kids... no idea what I would be in for.. definitely dont want a girl, I won't know what to do with her... least a boy I can take to the batting cages and throw a football with and play video games with.... I guess this subject may become a thread of its own...

but back to bucket list, be curious who really has theres down on paper, whats on it, what have you done, whats left.

My mental list, kind of an All-American adventure type thing:

1. Hike the Appalachian Trail. Haven't done it, and probably won't, since it takes about 6 months. Need to win the Meqa Millions to make this happen.

2. Canoe/raft the Mississippi from Minnesota to the Gulf. A little Huck Finn fun, but it could get dangerous.

3. Drive Route 66 from Chicago to LA. I've done this roughly twice. Awesome.

I don't want to go hiking for an hour, much less 6 months lol

best advice I can give you is this.

#1 A miss hit putt will end up closer to the hole than a mis hit chip. in other words when ever possible, PUTT the ball, even when not on the green.

#2 the harder you swing, the further the ball will go (t-shots). To hell with trying to have good form, and look like you know what you are doing. Happy Gilmore that bitch.

Bucket List:

1. Be in attendance when the Panthers win their first Super Bowl
2. Play in a weeks event of a WSOP tour
3. A threesome (is this a legitimate bucket list item? once I complete my list im handing it over the Mrs. Oh well. )
4. Visit these major cities: New Orleans, Chicago, Vegas, Seattle
5. Go to one of the mega boxing fights of my lifetime, preferably Mayweather vs Manny Pacquio, but probably will have to happen much later in life
6. Run my own marketing firm specializing in small businesses
7. invent something patent worthy
8. become a regular volunteer for a particular charity
9. drive a motorcycle (crotchrocket)
10. vacation in Hawaii with money to spend ...

Just started this... sure much more to add

Take care of #6 and the others will be done deals for sure, assuming the Panthers get lucky and you get dealt some good cards.

50 pitches? how many do you think would land in the field of play? I wouldn't be able to hit many off an elite high school pitcher now... my baseball skills left me rather quickly once I stopped playing

Hard to say...After about 5-10 pitches i might be able to quit bailing out and shitting myself. Was a good hitter in high school and college and still play in an over 30 league, but MLB is a whole different ballgame.

I was in the financial industry for a few years ago before moving to Costa Rica. We were pursued to join the rotary club and other things and Big Brothers was one of them. I did do it and felt kinda weird at first but it was actually quite fun and rewarding to be honest. I did it for a couple years and my little brother was a 13 and a nice kid. We shot baskets a lot and got free tickets to football games and Canuck Games. Trevor Linden had his own private suite and invited us to go to a few games.

I am glad I did it.
