some of their stuff is OK enough, but a lot of it is the cheapest Chinese stuff you'll ever see.

I bought a five pack of dustmasks for sanding like $1. The first three broke trying to get them over head. The 4th one actually worked !

a $2 pair of earmuff style hearing protectors works great, utility knife blades are fine, other stuff breaks opening the packaging.

A very strange store.

they sell duct tape on the cheap. It sucks. Not enough glue to make it stick to anything. A few years ago, my hood came open while driving. I damn near crashed.

never again.

I use wire now.

From my limited experience buying stuff on the cheap there.... let's just say that you get what you pay for. Pretty much Chinese junk. Never again.

but they take the stuff back. I once bought a sawzall from them for like $19, it didn't last long.

I saw a guy buying one there $29 now, and warned him. He was an auto mechanic that uses it to cut axles, he returns it every couple of weeks for a new one. I guess even a quality sawzall dies doing that work.

A real hit and miss thing with their products. Sometimes you want something for a one time use. I wouldn't buy something like a trailer hitch there....

Happy homeowner junk mostly - will not withstand any major usage. Good power tools - if properly maintained - will last years. Most of my Milwaukee stuff has been used for years and still performs flawlessly.

Have had good luck with Milwaukee and Makita. Dewalt...not so much.

They don't try to be Snap-on or even Craftsman, Stanley etc. I guess there is a market for throw- away quality tools. I bought a 3 piece set of wide drywall taping tools. They are low quality but will suffice for this one job, they are rusting after a few uses...but they spread the mud good enough. I'd rather spend $6 on throwaways instead of $50 for quality tools I may never need again, in this case.

Christmas time usually will bring coupons in some circulations for Habor Freight. My dad bought an air compressor there and saved almost $100. Gotta get there before they sell out though.

The company I worked for bought there all the time. Some of the stuff We bought there was 1/2 the price as the exact same item at Ace, Home Depot and Lowe's. You just have to be aware of what's quality and what's junk. It's one of my favorite places to get great buys at !

do you really need it to be cordless ? AC stuff works better, and it's cheaper !

but you can start with the USPS coupon for 10% off at Lowes.

I've bought so much crap from there and by crap I mean things that break easily. You get what you pay for. Northern Tools is way better.

Gotta be cordless. I'm an electrician, never have a power cord ready to go.
