Scariest I have ever been in my life.. My son has his Ford Mustang parked at my house for sale..Some guy came over with his friend to check it out, they both looked like typical lugheads.. They drove up with their car and parked it in my neighborhood.. After checking out the car, and liking the car, the guy wanted to do a test drive, so I said no problem.
I was in the passenger side of the vehichle, his friend rode in back.... The car was basically on empty with dash light on so told the driver that we are going to need some gas to get to destination and back. So he put $5 into the tank since I told him, I didn't have any cash on me.. Driver told me his Dad had the money for the vehicle if he liked the way it drove... it was a few miles but in a pretty busy area of town so no biggy I thought.. Guy really liked the car or pretended too. So he said , If his dad approves, he'll buy it..Well, we got off the hwy to the area that he was describing.. Once he made his turn , he mentioned that the house was just down the road..problem was, it started to turn into a rural area with not much activity.. thoughts started crossing into my mind that I'm not feeling to good about this situation. I received a couple of texts and sent a couple back out on where I was because anxiety level was rising even before I knew I was in trouble.I asked on two occasions " how much longer " and was given we are almost there..
Shortly after, I said, How about you pulling over and I drive the car and maybe things will look more familiar to you.. My thought process was, I wanted the vehicle to stop and I was going to get out and say this test drive is over and take my chances...
A few seconds later, driver found a gravel shoulder to where he slid the car to a stop.. The guy in the back seat put one hand around my neck and pushed me forward and I felt a metal object to the back of my head. Both started screaming " this is whats going to happen now " " Keep your head down and your hands on the dash or we'll blow your head off "
...man you can't possibly believe that this is happening to you.. thought, man I'm going to die here.. Told them ," fuck just drop me off , take the car , car isn't worth it".. "....... just shut the fuck up, we'll tell you whats going to happen here " Man I was scared shitless....
I could kinda tell they didn't know exactly where they were and after a bit they found this dirt road that looked like a xmas tree farm with a forest straight ahead.. I'm thinking man these fucks are going to kill me out in the middle of nowhere.. Your whole life flashes in front of you.. Well this guy drives several yards up this road and stops the car.. He said " give me your fucking phone.... then " give me your wrists.. He pulls out these plastic handcuff grips and proceeds to tie my wrists together.. almost lost circulation in my left hand.. he says " get the hell out of the car and run towards the woods ". Don't look back or I will put a bullet in the back of your head.. I said "Ok no problem just don't shoot me ! " Wasn't sure If I still wasnt going to get shot, but took off towards the woods and heard the car retreating pretty fast..
Once I got a few yards away, I did glance over my shoulder and saw that they were approaching the road , then they backed up onto the road. I stopped, then I headed back to the road myself, thinking, these guys have no interest in me anymore, they have other problems now.
So I am running back to the 4 way intersection in the middle of nowhere, looking for a house. A few minutes later I get to a house and unfortunatly no one is home after knocking loudly.. I get back to the road looking for another house, and see a car approaching. I'm flagging this lady in the car with my bound wrists.. She drives by me about 20 yards and stops. She yells back out her window, whats wrong ?.. I tell her I got carjacked and need 911 and some cops out here. A few minutes later cops show, and give them a full description of what happened..
Cops got info out very fast and I told them they were very vulnerable because of the gas situation.. Apparently these guys hid out in the woods for a few hours, probably figuring out that they didn't know where any gas stations were in this remote area and were going to take their chances when sun went down.. Shortly after 10 pm the driver was back on the road and was apprehended immediatly. the other guy is still on the loose.. The car that was left at my house was stolen too...
I'm having to go into court for Grand Jury on Wednesday... pretty messed up situation, I kinda see some red flags that I should have observed, but this kinda thing just doesn't happen much out here, according to the detectives. Couldn't sleep for 2 days and still having difficulties with all of this..
