Winnipeg Jets +10000
Winnipeg at 100-1 to win the East? and 250-1 to win the Cup?

I know it is caveat emptor but c'mon.

12/10/11 9:47am $50.00 $7,500.00 Pending 12/10/11 1:05pm Hockey NHL +15000 Stanley Cup 2011-2012 - Winnipeg Jets

At least they had the decency to raise the odds to 250/1.

You can get Buffalo today at 38-1 to win the Cup and Florida at 40-1. While Florida is in and Buffalo was eliminated last night, Buffalo may still be a better bet.

If your betting futures and you don't know who is eliminated at that point, you shouldn't be playing futures..........

I know which teams are eliminated but it is still dishonest of any book to continue offering odds on a team that has been eliminated. Just like the books don't want players betting into bad lines. Both are stealing.

I disagree on this point. I understand that bad line argument, but to suggest that a book can't put up odds on a team eliminated to me is "Buyer beware"

As someone who put some very small bets this week on longshots at the Masters who weren't in the field, I'm torn on this. Yes, I didn't do all my research that I needed, but at the same time I knew that Dustin Johnson was scratched, and they had pulled lines for him. Therefore, I made the leap that they were doing this with everyone eliminated from the field. That said, it's probably more laziness on their end then maliciousness.

This has been going on for a long time, not just this year.

Any wager accepted on teams who are already mathematically eliminated should be refunded to EVERYONE, not just those who are smart enough to realize the team they placed the bet on is no longer in contention...
