The Pirates' lineup is much improved from last year, and Bedard has a 1.71 ERA against the Phillies in 21 innings pitched. If you got the Pirates at +170, you got some good value. The under might be a play as well, Doc's career ERA against the Bucs is also sub 2.

And Garrett Jones has had some success off of Doc, and that line up Philly is trotting out is not scary at all.

The Pirates lineup is actually the same as last year.

In fact, it may be worse with Barmes & Barajas added and Alvarez struggling mightily still.

The Pirates never do the right thing.

They signed Casey McGahee and he is on the bench.
They have a young 1B named Hague who tore it up in spring by hitting .400 with 7 HR's and 14 RBIs. What was his reward? He was the last guy to make the team, and he gets to sit on the bench for opening day.

You would think they'd play the guys with the hot hand, especially at a position in which THEY DON'T HAVE AN EVERYDAY STARTER!

Is it any wonder they have lost 20 years in a row?

McCutchen and Presley have been killing in it Spring ball, and Garrett Jones has had success against Halladay. Barmes is, albeit not much of one, a step up from Cedeno and Barajas adds some power late in the lineup.

Its probably because how bad Roy Halladay has pitched this spring training, and that Utley and Howard arent playing, they dont have Ibaunez anymore, that was like where all there runs came from, they are expecting big things from Hunter Pence

Halladay & Bedard were both pretty bad this spring.

Line has been sinking since the open 2 days ago. Line drop is not a news based reaction, rather a correction for a sloppy opening price setting. Syndicates all over this one.

Thanks buffet.

.50 cent drop since opener!

At -151 now, I will play Philly.

if they are going to go by that the line would have stayed put or moved the other way, Pirates were worse than the phillies this spring

Pirates have always gotten dominated by big name Top 10 pitchers in the league.

Today may be different but I dont think so. That's why I rolled the dice on Philly -151.

Line is still dropping though......
