The sad thing about this whole thing is that people are forgetting that the Saints defense was actually pretty shitty last year. They would outscore teams not shut them down with their defense.

The bounty thing is overblown, but telling your players to go after someones head or knees is off limits and should be dealt with appropriately.

The big deal is you have coaches telling players to intentionally hurt other players as in take out their ACLs and "test" a guy's concussion. In a day and age of increased emphasis on player safety and eliminating concussions, you can't have coaches telling players it's ok to intentionally hurt other players.
This is these guy's livelihood and how they feed their families. You don't want to tear a guy's ACL and potentially cost him his career. That's ridiculous.
yea, the idea in itself is ridiculous, I bet you anything that harbaugh uses similar tactics to motivate his players, being the cutthroat that he is. So, in the end, it's basically team against team trying to tear each other's acl's. It's up to the league to finally go into each locker room and put a stop to this.
I am with Jake T on this one. If you have ever had the chance to hear stuff inside a locker room, you would know how common this is. My favorite of all-time, is a college coach wanting the opponents starting QB in a bodybag. "I don't want him helped off or carted off, I want him in a fucking body bag, you feel me?" All the players, "Fuck yeah"
