first week will be brutal for overs. I play only a a handful of them a year but with these teams throwing out there "best" pitchers it makes it difficult first week around.

I know what you're saying and I don't disagree, but a run here or there never hurt the game. would you rather see a 4-3 game or a 1-0 game? I'd prefer the former any day myself...similar with hockey--
