Verlander im sure is well aware of the control problems Mr. Douche has had, even though he pulled off 49 saves this guy has always been a mess on the mound. Im sure no matter when he comes in to save there is never 100% confidence.

Did you just call Valverde a douche? :missingte

Valverde goes 49 for 49 in saves last season, perfect.
As a matter of fact he's the reason Verlander won 24 games last year, Valverde saved 13 games in Verlander's 24 win season.

What's next? If Mo blows a Yankee win tomorrow, you going to call him a gas can?

It makes you think there will be at least 1 or 2 that go OVER. Reds vs Marlins will problably score some runs besides Bluejays vs Tribe. I seriously doubt it will be Dodger vs Padres

love how the ball strike ump has been calling questionable strikes during potential break out innings today...Reds should be up 3-0 by now but unfotunately Jay Bruce didn't come up to the plate in the 1st inning with a 9 iron..

Umps been doing that for the past 75 years.

Ever notice how many strike three calls on a 2-2 count were called ball three, instead of strike three, making a strike out a full count, just to see the next 3-2 pitch clubbed for a 2 run double?

I have a pretty good feeling Verlander is not sick about not getting a "W" for him personally. On the other hand, I'm quite certain he's pretty God Damn happy that his TEAM won their home opener! That's what really matters.

These a- hole managers have to feel they are part of the game......Verlander should have finished. Masterson should have finished for the Indians. In both cases each pitcher had given up only two hits. if you're always going to go "by the book" and play percentages, why have a game manager? Just do it by computer. You have to go by the "feel" of the game in my opinion not solely on percentages. And don't give my any garbage about pitch count.
