Morton isn't that bad. He was 11-11 with a 3.83 ERA last season. Not bad for someone pitching for a bad team. Actually, Zito is the one to be concerned about. Does he come back with another shutout, after his first one in 9 years, or do we see last years Zito, 3-4 with a 5.87 ERA.
This total has too many unknowns. However, if you really want to play the OVER, just play the Giants to go Over their team total of 4 runs. That way it doesn't matter what Pitt does against Zito.

If thought 7.5 was bizarre, you should've checked out the lines the night before - Charlie Morton vs Barry Zito was over/under 7. Yup, just 7. I jumped on the over quickly, as I detailed the reasons in my own thread, but believe me, 7 or 7.5 is just about right for this game. thesandman1 smartly pointed out Morton's great year from 2011 (Especially in the first half of the season, when he was even better than his final numbers), while Zito was coming off arguably the most dominant pitching performance of the young season so far (Aside from teammate Matt Cain's one-hitter). Furthermore, most pitching matchups between solid pitchers in a west pitching park like San Francisco almost always will fall in this range of 6.5-7.5.
