has anyone else seen this movie? it is fucking crazy. just came back from seeing it and im not sure what my opinion is on it. It has quite a few laughs in it, which is rare for a "horror movie", but this is def not your standard "horror movie". I think its a movie you rather love or will hate, surprised the ratings and reviews are so high all around.
So I finally got around to seeing this and tried to avoid all reviews/spoilers so I had no idea what this movie was about. Was surprised I knew some of the actors too...
So some parts were really good, some really weird and not at all what I expected at times. Took some really weird twists and turns and took about half the movie to figure out what the hell was going on.
Overall I think I liked it but nowhere near as good as all the positive reviews I've read. Usually easier to say that I loved or hated a movie, this one was just different enough to make me question how much I liked it or not. ??????

Im glad this was bumped.... I normally dont like horror movies.....
SPOILERS BELOW......
But I went not knowing this wasn't your average horror movie.... I missed the opening "scare", ran out to get an icee.... at some point they said they slutty girl, has some stuff put in her hair dye which made her slutty? I guess the other people had things chemically done to them to change them...
But while im watching the movie, im sooooooo annoyed how cliche everything was... when the dude rolled up with the travel mug bong, I was like ok, I can deal with this, but that guy reminded me of shaggy from scobby doo.... but the "jock" like how he gets out at the creppy gas station, with a football in hand.... I get it, he's a jock.... that was overly annoying...
It wasn't until after that "3rd" act, you know, when the movie just gets weird that I realized it's making fun of other horror movies...... That final scene IMO was dumb, it was like a completely seperate movie... maybe just wasn't traditional, IDK... the unicorn was my favorite scene though.. lol
I feel like High Schoolers could of wrote this movie... Cliche Characters..... fix any problems we have with the storyline with random shit that doesn't make sense (like the force field) and at the end, like a grand finale , lets throw everything we possible can think off, it will be Aweeesssommmeeee....
at the same time, because the movie was a horror movie, but also a comedy, poking fun of all other horror movies, maybe that's what makes it creative.... at the same time, thats what I didn't like about it...
If I liked horror movies, I would watch it a 2nd time now that I know its purposes.... but because I don't like them, Ill never watch again... and probably just go down as the strangest movie i've watched....
