2012 MLB O/U Record: 35-33-2 (Originally started 2-7 because of rust)
2011 MLB O/U Record: 366-270-42 (Proof & 27-Page Documentation Available Upon Request)

4-4 day yesterday, but the big thing was winning both of my top write-up bets (Blanton vs Bumgarner under & Lewis vs Lester over) to be up $69 for the day. Speaking of dollar amounts, for those that want me to start listing my overall +/- for the season, you are absolutely right, as I definitely should, now that I started listing the dollar amounts for each game. And the truth is…I’m down $206 for the season. See, that’s another reason you can tell that I’m one of the honest ones, as I easily could have just made up a number there to make it seem like I’m up and dominating, especially since I’ve been rolling since mentioning the dollar amounts for each game, but that’d mean I’m a fake and an imposter, which I’m not. I take great pride in this endeavor, and as I’ve said many times, while I have fun with it, I take my precious MLB Over/Unders very seriously. At the end of the day, I know I’ll be back in my normal expected 56-57% level when this season is said and done. Now let’s move on to today’s slate, which actually only served up a couple of decent over/unders, which refreshingly is an interesting change of pace, considering I’ve taken 23 gamesover the past three days.

James McDonald vs Daniel Hudson UNDER 8.5/9 ($22 for $20 on U8.5, $18 for $15 on U9)

Normally I would do a write-up for this game, especially since I LOVE James McDonald and he’s one of my top five favorite pitchers, but the game is about to start and I want to get this one in before first pitch. I’ll be back in a bit with my other bet(s) on the evening, including my best bet detailed write-up.

McDonald vs Hudson under looking good to start, hopefully it holds, which you never know in an over haven like Arizona. But unders do happen also and let's get one right here.

Here's the rest of my card for the night, which you'll notice is very small...

Baltimore Orioles @ Chicago White Sox (Best Bet)
Tommy Hunter vs Jake Peavy
OVER [Line isc urrently at Over 8.5 EV, but I’d wait till gametime to see if it goes to 8]

Slow day of over/under potential today, as even this best bet wasn’t really a game that I was able to completely sink my teeth into to. However, that’s not to say it’s a bad bet, otherwise why would I be taking it and detailing it? At first glance, it doesn’t look good, as we are gunning for a relatively high over (If it stays at 8.5 all day) between two pitchers who are off to nice starts this year, one of which who has always had a very nice track record, that being JakePeavy. In his last start, coming against the Tigers, Peavy was terrific in just under seven innings, limiting the opposition to two hits and two runs, while striking out eight and only walking one. In addition, he was able to hold his own in front of a national television audience, on the road against arguably the best lineup in baseball in Texas, on the first Sunday night game of the year. There’s no doubt Peavy has been tested here in the early going against two very talented offenses, but I’m not sold. Whether it be a vibe or just ano verall judgment on Peavy, I still don’t think he’ll be as dominant as he was at his peak in San Diego, thanks to the arm surgery he had a couple of years ago. But I could be wrong - I don’t feel like I know Peavy that well, as I only bet on two of his over/unders all last year (Was 1-1 in those games), and I’m already 0-1 on him this year after taking the over in his first start.

However, the guy taking the mound opposite Peavy is someone I feel I know pretty well (2-1 in Tommy Hunter over/unders last year, 1-0 this year so far). I loved him in Texas, and have been rooting for him to do well ever since leaving, but the fact is he’s really just a mid-rotation pitcher who’s kind of just there. He always has potential to come up with gutsy performances, and I’ve always liked his make-up, but he’s very hittable, as we saw in Toronto in his last start, and this is a game right here where I feel like he may get hit a bit by a decent Chicago lineup. The stat working most in our favor is that his splits athome and on the road are very significant, as he’s much worse (Even since coming to Baltimore) pitching in away games, posting a 5.46 ERA and 1.43 WHIPin such games, as opposed to a 3.62 ERA and 1.23 WHIP at home.

This isn’t a strong best bet, as there are just days where you have to concede yourself and lay low a bit (Especially when you bet literally every single day of the six-month season), but maybe there’s a reason I had a vibe on it, given my recent hot streak. I’m going over, but wait till the minutes leading up to gametime to see if the line drops to 8. Dollar amount will be posted later.

Other 4/18/12 Over/Under Bets I’m Taking (In Order)
Clayton Richard vs Juan Nicasio UNDER 9.5 (Small bet, only $18 for $15)

Very happy to see Hunter vs Peavy has finally dropped to 8. Overall, I put $15 for $15 on over 8.5 and $29 for $25 on over 8. Good luck to all, let's keep rolling

Another dominant night, this is what I expect. After starting 2-7 because of rust, I've gone 36-27-2 (57.1%) since then and I promise you that is the pace I will continue. Let's keep it going, be back tomorrow with my picks on the Thursday slate.

Adding Price vs Morrow over 8, 18 for 15

This game started at 7:05p EST/7:10p EST...........you posted way past the gametime. Good work and not sure if you are counting those plays after the game has started. Not trying to be a dick...

I posted the McDonald vs Hudson matchup at 3:40 PM EST... first pitch was slightly after that so how was that posted after the game has started? If anything, for those who actually watched the game (Thank God for MLB Extra Innings), you wouldn't even want a piece of the Under after how that first inning went. Yeesh was that scary, thankfully Arizona's aggressive hitters bailed out James McDonald more than once in the inning, while Daniel Hudson was able to dance out of danger in his own first-inning mess. I was scared for that bet.

Lol and pleaseee tell me you're not accusing me of cheating or anything like that. I only posted Price vs Morrow a tiny bit late ("Way past" gametime?? FIVE minutes after first pitch) because even though I placed the bet the night before, I was having second thoughts about it throughout the day (Which is why I never posted it in the first post of this thread), before I decided I was going to stick with it, and then realized I never added it to my thread, so I posted it as soon as possible while I was at work. Do you really think I would lie about a $15 bet? Especially considering:

A)When I made my FIRST post here at TheRx.com the third day of the season, I admitted to my 1-4 record BEFORE I even started posting here. If I wasn't honest, wouldn't I just ignore that 1-4 record, since none of you "saw" it, and pretend like I was 0-0? But that's not me. Instead, I introduced myself to all of you, said I was 1-4 to begin the year, and gave my first writeups of the season. I wasn't going to weasel out of my actual record.

B)Look at the first post of this thread. You'll notice I admitted to being down $206 this season, which is the first time I mentioned my total +/- for the year (Since some of you requested I do that, which I should've been doing all along, actually). If I wasn't honest, wouldn't I have made up a positive number to make it seem like I was dominating? I could have easily gotten away with it, since I'm over .500 and have been cruising since I started posting the dollar amounts that I place on each game each day. But no, I didn't do that because I'm not a dick who would lie about his record or the amount he's up or down.

Just like I'm not a dick who would take credit for a bet he didn't make. You seem like a pretty cool guy and I would actually offer you my username and password to go on my account on ace23.com to verify. Just please don't ever think I would take credit for an over/under that isn't even mine. As I've stressed over and over, I take my MLB Over/Unders very, very seriously and would never stoop as low as the garbage who attempt to do stuff like that.

Of course i believe you made the over bet in the toronto game. ALL im saying is that it was 10 mins past gametime, therefore shouldnt be counting it as your RX posted record. No need to go off on a tangent.....as im not accusing u of anything else. If u want credit, and ppl to follow along, then post consistently and much EARLIER. If u wagered on it the night before....then how could u forget to post it? Just post early..thats all im asking.

I completely agree with you. I've been trying to make my all my posts as early as possible, but sometimes it's difficult to do that if I'm working. In the case of this game, like I said, while I put the bet in the night before, I was having second thoughts about it that morning and also when I started this thread. Then I went to work, decided to stick with the bet, since it was a small amount anyway, and it slipped my mind for a bit that I never mentioned it in this thread, so I posted it as soon as possible from my iPhone, which was five minutes after first pitch. I require credit for it because considering the fact that I took claim to a 1-4 record before I even started posting here when I COULD have wiped the slate clean, means I don't want my actual record to be different from my "Rx Record." Every bet I make, I want it to be known public. But yes, you are absolutely right, I'm trying to post everything hours before the games start, rather than minutes, and will make a better effort to do so, but it's tough when you think about this stuff almost all day as I do and sometimes change your mind leading up to gametime. It's a very unique routine I have lol, it's like a mental exercise that I implement into my betting. Also, as a writer with a journalism degree, I do my best work when a deadline is approaching closer and closer. Interestingly enough, the same also somehow applies with my betting lol

And missy, no, I'm a different person. He's the senior Cat on these boards, as he's had the name longer and been on these forums much longer than me. I never met another Cat before so I posted just started posting under this name, as that is my nickname in real life, under the assumption that no one else would have this moniker. Apparently I was wrong
