To one generation, he was the ageless host of "American Bandstand." To another, he was Father Time on New Year's Eve.

I have to admit I spent many an afternoon watching American Bandstand - mostly looking for hot chicks. Very influential show music wise for the first few years.

great man no doubt,but i think it has been a disgrace the way the kept putting him on the new years eve shows.im sure they all meant well but it was very disturbing seeing him like that for new years.

Sad news. I find Ryan Seacrest even more disturbing. I'd rather they trot out Clark's corpse Weekend at Bernie's Style every year than watch him. On the other hand, I'd rather become a corpse than watch his competition Carson Daly. Let's just say that I hope that Sci-Fi continues to show the Twilight Zone marathons...

For those of us old enough to remember, Clark was a true music legend. He probably opened doors for more talent than anyone in the history of music.
