I have heard this works over the long term. Starting today I will be fading the Cubs for beer money. If it works, great - if not, well then fuck em!

Today:

Marlins -150 to win a whole $10 dollars

*Play is action regardless of pitching; no handicapping in here, just fading the Cubs!

YTD: 1-0 +$10

Today I have the Reds -120 to win another $10 spot

These losers won't be able to get out of their own way today.

Cubs fan here- side note to your fade, 8 of the cubs 10 losses have been by 2 or more runs. ML maybe the right way to go but just tossing out some info. Good luck as always .

If you bet $100 on every Cub game since 1999 when they were a favorite you would be out 22K.

Betting on them? I assume? How in the world is the total in this game 6.5? Homer (hence the name) Bailey and Voldstad 2 extremely average joes pitching. The wind must be swirling in big time. I still like over.

matt i too liked the over/ runs/hits/errors over, but the wind is blowing in from left at 21-25 mph with gusts higher, thats why the total is so low, but was still hard for me to pass up

Best thing to do!!! I'm a die hard White Sox fan (as most know), and i really really LIKE this thread =) They're the best team to fade in baseball......sooo OVER-RATED!

WS are a good fade too. Be a close race to see what team is worse this season.

I think the Cubs are great fade material because they are practically always over-priced...not sure why this is, but it seems like most "rec players" love playing the Cubs.

3 of my friends have bets with 3 of my other friends (die hard Sox fans vs. die hard Cubs fans).......whoever finishes w/ the worst record.........they treat to a steak dinner and a night out of some fun in the CHI! I like my chances =)

The Cubs are playing especially shitty - even for the Cubs. I am considering playing some reverse run lines and team totals to liven it up a little bit in here. $10 bets just don't get the juices going anymore.

I disagree.
The WS have a very good pitching staff that will keep them competitive most of the time.

Well the Cubs fucked me yesterday. Good news is I think they probably shot their wad in the process. I have the Reds -150 today to win $10.

YTD: 2-1 +$7
