Hello all. Today I'm starting to post baseball selections based upon a concept I came up with last july. Over the last 2 months of the season my posted games were a net of +11 and actually about +20 from the time I started tracking in mid-july. This is strictly based on statistics, not on handicapping. The only team I follow, god knows why, is kansas city.
My method is classic grind it out. There are no best bets and each game is for one unit. 5 dimes is currently the only outlet I use and it's a great one. My limit on favorites is -150.
Since this is my first time using this method at the start of the season, I didn't know at what point and after how many games to start tracking. I settled on 10 games as my starting point. All 4 days have shown a profit, starting slowly and having a big day yesterday, putting the plan at about +10 units. In terms of won-loss, the record is 19-9, including a spectacular 8-1 yesterday. I haven't bet this yet but will start today.
I'm extremely cautious and don't even like to use the term gamble. Speculate sounds better. So I'm nervous about posting this so early in the season but I'm really raring to go. Hopefully it gets off to a decent start. It scares me that I have 11 plays today. The previous 4 days saw 6-9 plays per day. As the season moves forward there will usually be 4-6.
If you're interested in what I'm doing, I recommend that you just follow this on paper until it proves itself. I rely on numbers and this early in the season the database is small ond subject to greater fluctuations than will be the case as teams play more games.
Giving a plug, you should be following MrRodgers, a truly great handicapper. All my plays so far in baseball have been on his plays and so far I'm up 12 units. Thank you sir! Even if my method does well, I will incorporate his picks into my personal wagering. He and I have some of the same plays today. If we're on opposite sides of a game, I'll just pass. Have a great season everyone.
