Atlanta now 12-7 7-3 Last 10 winning 2 while Pittsburgh is 8-10 6-4 Last 10 winning 1. The Braves are hitting .284 as a team and have plated 61 runs for the season. The Pirates are hitting .221 as a team and scored 41 runs on the season. Bourne, Uggla, Freeman combined for a .390 average and 15 RBI's on a 5-2 road trip this week. Pittsburgh pitching staff has a 2.58 ERA but Burnett is 1-7 5.08 ERA in 11 starts at Turner Field. Hanson is 2-2 3.38 ERA and 0-1 3.75 ERA in two starts vs Pirates. MCutchen is 0-4 vs Hanson but should be able to run tonight if he is aboard because of Hanson's slight hesitation in his delivery when Hanson comes to the plate. Walker has had some success vs Hanson with a triple and a HR. The Braves have won 44 of 65 at home vs Pirates since 1997 but the focus today will be Over 3 First Five Innings -135 looking for Braves to scratch out a few runs vs Burnett while Pirates might find a few themselves on Hanson who can be stole on once baserunners get aboard. Braves manufacturing runs at the moment and Turner Field has not been very kind to AJ in the past. Source: CBS Sports MLB Preview.

I bet the Pirates +1.5 today boland.. ATL first game back from a long road trip, might need some time to adjust back. Burnett looked great in last start. Hanson has been one of the more shaky pitchers ATL has.. price is very fair.

I think it could be a low scoring 4-3, 3-2 game and the Pirates avoid losing by 2 runs. GL

Washington lineup is pretty pathetic, they've been winning a lot of games because of pitching.. I expect Kershaw to mow them down at ease. 7-8-9 hitters are pathetic for Washington..

Dodgers bats might be cooling down a bit, keep an eye out.

Royals @ Twins.

I think that Pavano is struggling badly, the fact that he's pitching at home might help him, a confidence thing. He is 1-2, 5.06 his last four starts. Teaford who gets the start for the Royals has never seen the Twins and in-turn the Twins have never seen him makes this play look good. Also, the Twins can't hit lefties for shit and that plus the fact they haven't seen him before sweetens the pot. play the Royals and you have a better than 50/50 chance of cashing, play accordingly. Luck!

I actually like less traffic in the forum. problem is alot of the people that chime in bring nothing to the table. I say that knowing that I don't provide daily write-ups with my plays, I would like to, it's just that my write-ups are brutal. Anyway, I like this thread and will contribuite when I see good spots with games involving the Twins. thanks Gyno for this thread and stay positive! Luck & Laters!

Royals @ Twins.

-game one saw the Royals get the win in a very tight game. I noticed that the Twins have lost three of their last four games by one run. In those four losses the Twins still scored 19 runs. I also feel that Marquis can keep the Twins in this one, look for the Twins to snap their losing skid today. Twins (+1.10) is my wager today. Luck & Laters.

I am a royals fan, I think the play is the under 8.5 this game. Chen has been solid all year, and gets zero RS.

I would have a hard time backing an under in any game involving the wins right now. I'm not saying your off the mark , I just wouldn't feel good about it. The point you make about Chen not getting any RS builds confidence in the Twins as being the right side, speacially coming from a Royals fan. How about a 4-2 Twins win.

Lohse throwing extremely well for the cardinals so far this year, he's a different pitcher in April than any other month. When healthy, he's actually arguably been the Cardinals best pitcher since he signed (so basically the last year and a month lol). Offense came back last night, and having Jon Jay back in the lineup is big, as is :)facepalm) skip shumaker. Should add a little bit more offence compared to what they had been getting at 2B.

Play:
Cards -150

Going to start tracking the cardinals plats ITT. First one i think.

Looking at the radar, I am not convinced this game is gonna get played today.

Not really sure tbh. He's been improving all the time since his injury. He throws strikes and pounds the zone. It's also a contract year for him. I'm going to continue to watch him pitch and I'll note if I see anything that makes me think he'll struggle going for.

Game 2 tonight in Atlanta in a 4 game series with Pittsburgh. Braves check in at 13-7 while Pirates are 8-11. Pittsburgh with only 42 runs on the season in 19 games 19 fewer than the next lowest MLB team. Delgado goes for Atlanta and is 2-1 5.74 ERA and has not gone past 6 Innings Pitched in those outings. Bedard goes for the Pirates and is 0-4 2.63 ERA and has only received .75 runs of support in his starts. David Ross behind the plate tonight for Atlanta with McCann straining a rib muscle last night. Ross is a quality back up so Braves really do not lose much with the replacement. Presely for Pittsburgh does have an 11 game hitting streak going but Pirates must find some offense in the near future. Delgado thows extremely hard but still has to iron out his issues with occasional Base On Balls. Still Delgado manages to get outs and today the focus will be on Delgado to go 6 Innings plus the mid relievers and closers to hold a struggling Pittsburgh offense while Braves continue to manufacture runs. Atlanta ML in Game 2. Source: SportingNews MLB Preview.

Bosox: boston hasbeen slowly getting their act together...lester going tonight, after i horrible outing and one mediocre outing. he has too much talent to not get it together..Peavy pitching great ball and even though the red sox are hitting, i look at the 2 pitchers and the 42 degree temps with light rain plus 10 -15 mph wind in from left..thus, i like under 4 for the ist 5..gl!!!!
