Freddy Garcia looks washed up. Has lost velocity and his off-speed stuff is not working. Yankee coaches are concerned. Last outing, vs. Boston, looked awful. Could be your last chance to go against him before he gets yanked from the rotation. Tigers should rough him up early and often. Detroit starter Smyly has deadly cutter and 3 other pitches. Tigers should be favored here.

SD is hitting a little better as of late, and should be able to hit the much lesser Linecum. Bass has good stuff, but his control is not quite there. SD bullpen should be able to hold a lead. Very nice number with Linecum struggling like he has.
